Dennis Connors is a BSD parent and a U.S. Marine veteran. He's also a para-cycling world champion and Paralympic silver medalist. Hear his inspiring advice to students at Oak Hills Elementary School.

It's the first day of school for thousands of students. But it's also Thao Do-Gwilliam's first day ever as an elementary school principal. We were there to capture the excitement.

Congratulations to Oak Hills Elementary Special Education Teacher Lori Therrien! Lori was selected as Regional Teacher of the Year and is one of 16 finalists for Oregon Teacher of the Year. Lori's family and school staff surprised her with the announcement. Take a look!
